Terms of Service

By accessing or using any ProofChain product — including ProofScript, ProofBooks, ProofSound, ProofLegal, and ProofVerify — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ProofChain Pvt. Ltd. ("ProofChain", "we", "us", or "our").

ProofChain provides blockchain-anchored timestamp verification and AI-powered analysis services across multiple creative and professional domains:

• ProofScript — Screenplay blockchain timestamping, AI analysis, marketplace discovery, and industry tools for screenwriters and producers.
• ProofBooks — Manuscript and book blockchain timestamping, AI analysis, publisher discovery, training analysis, and adaptation tools for authors and publishers.
• ProofSound — Audio and music blockchain timestamping with AI analysis for artists, composers, and producers.
• ProofLegal — Document timestamping with RFC 3161 timestamps for legal professionals and organizations. Designed to support admissibility as electronic evidence.
• ProofVerify — Free public verification portal for independently verifying any ProofChain-protected work.

When you upload a file, a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) is generated locally on your device and anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain via the OpenTimestamps protocol.

Important: Our service creates evidence of when a file existed at a specific point in time. It is NOT copyright registration and does not constitute legal proof of ownership or authorship.

ProofChain certificates may be used as supporting evidence in legal or professional disputes. We recommend consulting a legal professional for matters relating to copyright protection and intellectual property.

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• One account per person or entity
• You must be at least 18 years old to use our services
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Each product (ProofScript, ProofBooks, ProofSound, ProofLegal) requires a separate product registration under the same account

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any illegal purpose or to protect illegal content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or circumvent our systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access our services without written permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
• Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Abuse AI analysis services by submitting content designed to manipulate or game scoring algorithms
• Share or redistribute paid analysis reports, pitch decks, or premium content without authorization

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes.

No refunds are provided, except as required by applicable law. Before completing payment, you are given the opportunity to preview your certificate or analysis scope free of charge. This preview ensures you know exactly what you are paying for.

Credit bundles, where available, are non-refundable but do not expire. Credits can be used across all services within the respective product. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Pricing for all services is subject to change. Current prices are displayed at the point of purchase. ProofChain may offer promotional pricing, bundles, or discounts at its discretion.

ProofChain offers blockchain-anchored timestamp protection across its products:

• ProofScript & ProofBooks: Per-work protection with SHA-256 hashing, Bitcoin blockchain anchoring, RFC 3161 TSA dual-layer timestamps, watermarked certificates, and marketplace listing eligibility.
• ProofSound: Per-track protection with pricing based on audio type (songs, scores/BGM, beats/productions, and other audio). Includes watermarked audio protection.
• ProofLegal: Per-document protection with individual and organization bulk pricing tiers. RFC 3161 compliant certificates designed to support admissibility as electronic evidence.

Revisions to previously protected works are available at reduced pricing. All protection records are permanent and independently verifiable on the Bitcoin blockchain.

ProofChain offers AI-powered analysis services branded as "ProofIntelligence" across ProofScript and ProofBooks. These services process user-submitted text through third-party AI models, including but not limited to Anthropic Claude and OpenAI.

• Your submitted text is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) via encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) for processing. These providers do not use your content for AI model training. API data may be retained for a short safety monitoring window — up to 7 days by Anthropic and up to 30 days by OpenAI, as per each provider's standard policy — after which it is permanently deleted. No human reads your content unless flagged for abuse. Only the analysis results are saved to your account — your original script/manuscript is never stored on our servers.
• Analysis results (scores, insights, Cinema DNA, Literary DNA, market positioning, pitch decks) are stored in your account. Results are private by default but may become visible if you opt in to public features such as showcase cards, leaderboard rankings, or marketplace listings. We do not use your analysis results to train any AI model or share them with any third party without your consent.
• AI-generated outputs are for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute professional screenplay, literary, legal, or financial advice.
• Analysis accuracy is not guaranteed. Scores and insights reflect AI interpretation and may not align with industry professional opinions.

Analysis Tiers:

• Free Snapshot: Synopsis-based scores and DNA analysis. Requires a free account.
• Professional: Comprehensive craft and market analysis with downloadable PDF report. Requires payment through Razorpay.
• Premium: Deep-dive analysis with pitch deck generation, investment readiness report, and executive summaries. Requires payment through Razorpay.
• Adaptation (Book to Screenplay): Available on ProofBooks. Converts manuscripts into screenplay format with adaptation analysis. Requires payment through Razorpay.

Specific pricing for each tier is displayed at the point of purchase and is subject to change.

ProofBooks offers Training Analysis for educators, trainers, and instructional designers. This service evaluates training program content using AI-powered analysis.

• Training content is submitted as plain text and processed through third-party AI models via encrypted connection. These providers do not use your content for AI model training. API data may be retained briefly for safety monitoring, then permanently deleted.
• Results include scoring across multiple dimensions (content structure, learning outcomes, engagement design, delivery readiness, measurable impact, and real-world transfer).
• Training analysis results are stored in your account and may be shared via generated share cards.
• Results are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional educational or pedagogical advice.

ProofScript offers AI-powered chat services for screenwriters, including general conversation and specialized Scene Doctor mode.

• Chat conversations are processed through third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) via encrypted connection. These providers do not use your messages for AI model training. API data may be retained briefly for safety monitoring, then permanently deleted.
• Chat history is stored in your account. You may delete individual conversations at any time.
• Free users receive a limited number of messages. Additional messages may be purchased through recharge packs or subscriptions.
• Scene Doctor mode consumes additional message credits per query.
• AI chat responses are for informational and creative assistance only. They do not constitute professional advice.

ProofChain offers free AI-powered entertainment tools through ProofScript Lab and ProofBooks Lab:

• ProofScript Lab: Roast My Script, Dream Cast, Box Office Predictor, Writing DNA, and OTT Fit Score.
• ProofBooks Lab: Roast My Book, Dream Cast, Bestseller Predictor, Literary DNA, and OTT Adaptation Fit.

• These tools process user-submitted text through third-party AI models to generate entertainment-oriented results.
• Results may be shared publicly via generated links. Shared results are viewable by anyone with the link and may appear on public showcase pages.
• Results are cached for up to 1 hour. Identical submissions within this window return the same cached result.
• Lab tools are provided free of charge. A free account is required. ProofChain reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue these tools at any time.

ProofChain operates marketplace and discovery features across its products, connecting creators with industry professionals.

Marketplace:

• Only works with confirmed blockchain protection can be listed on the marketplace.
• Listing metadata (title, genre, language, AI scores) is visible to all logged-in users. For timestamping, only the hash is stored. For paid AI analysis, content is processed on our servers but not retained after analysis is complete.
• Industry professionals may request time-limited read access to listed works. Creators approve or decline these requests at their discretion.

Discovery:

• Public profiles display the creator's name, portfolio, AI analysis scores, and protection history. Creators can control their profile visibility in settings.
• Industry professionals (producers, publishers) may browse creator profiles via subscription plans.

Competitions & Gigs:

• ProofChain may host writing competitions with entry fees and prizes. Competition rules, judging criteria, and prize distribution are specified per competition.
• Gig postings connect creators with work opportunities. ProofChain facilitates discovery but does not mediate transactions.

ProofChain does not mediate transactions, negotiations, or disputes between creators and industry professionals. We are a discovery platform, not a talent agency or rights marketplace.

ProofChain offers subscription plans for industry professionals (producers on ProofScript, publishers on ProofBooks) to access enhanced discovery features.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Razorpay.
• Subscription benefits include enhanced profile access, synopsis/blurb viewing, direct creator contact, and priority features.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time.
• ProofChain reserves the right to modify subscription tiers, features, and pricing with advance notice to subscribers.

ProofChain operates a referral program across its products. Referrers and referred users may receive credit bonuses upon successful referral and qualifying actions.

• Referral credits are non-transferable and can only be used within the respective ProofChain product.
• Maximum credit accumulation limits apply per account.
• ProofChain reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time. Abuse of the referral system (fake accounts, self-referrals) may result in credit forfeiture and account suspension.

In addition to Bitcoin blockchain anchoring via OpenTimestamps, ProofChain submits proof hashes to a certified RFC 3161 Time Stamping Authority (TSA) for dual-layer protection. In rare cases where the TSA is temporarily unavailable, only Bitcoin blockchain anchoring is used.

• TSA submission is provided on a best-effort basis. Failure of TSA submission does not invalidate the Bitcoin blockchain anchor and does not constitute a service failure.
• TSA tokens are stored alongside blockchain proofs and included in protection certificates where available.
• Certificates are designed to support admissibility under Section 63 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (BSA) for electronic records. TSA timestamps may additionally support admissibility under Section 86 of BSA 2023. Admissibility is ultimately determined by the court.

You retain all ownership of your files and creative works. ProofChain does not claim any ownership of content you protect using our services.

For timestamp protection, your files are hashed locally on your device — only the cryptographic hash is transmitted and stored. For AI analysis (an optional, separate service), your file is uploaded to Cloud Storage for text extraction and processing. Both the original file and extracted text are deleted immediately after analysis is complete. Only the analysis results (scores, insights, reports) are stored in your account.

The ProofChain platform, branding (including ProofScript, ProofBooks, ProofSound, ProofLegal, ProofVerify, ProofIntelligence), logo, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of ProofChain Pvt. Ltd. and may not be reproduced without written permission.

ProofChain provides its services "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied.

We are not responsible for the legal enforceability of blockchain timestamps in any specific jurisdiction. The admissibility of electronic evidence varies by court and jurisdiction.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows may be required and will be communicated in advance when possible.

Blockchain confirmation times depend on the Bitcoin network and are outside our control. Typical confirmation takes 1-24 hours.

AI analysis processing times vary based on complexity, tier, and third-party provider availability. ProofChain is not responsible for delays caused by third-party AI service outages.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and self-service.

Upon deletion, all analysis results, AI chat history, and associated personal data are permanently removed from our systems. Blockchain timestamps cannot be deleted as they are immutable by design — this is the core value of the service.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.

Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

The provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its amendments, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, apply to the use of our services.
